Persephone (Overseer's Volunteer attire) by jack8642 Persephone (Overseer's Volunteer attire) by jack8642
designing Attire of Overseer’s *Volunteer  for Persephone, the main heroine of a slavery / pirate story i’m working on. clothes and Overseer’s calling instrument (wearable rod with bells) are based on ink sketches in Documents about early 18th century sugar plantation slavery and Punishments.
(those bells were actually used for keeping house working slaves from running away.)

PS: finally my hands are working properly again and i’m feeling alive. :D Feck off, Depression!

This is SO gorgeous! I love how your style has adapted over the years and it's so nice to see bits of your older works in this drawing. I totally understand the whole depression thing and it really is hard to make art sometimes! But this is so great!!

I also really love the bits of history you put into her design. It's quite lovely!
